At Youth Enrichment League we believe a home filled with music is a gift to share for children and their families. Our mission is to channel and nurture students’ abilities and talents while challenging their skills and stretching their abilities. We work to keep our music classes fast paced, fun and accessible to students with a variety of skills.

For third through eighth grades A dynamic course for a dynamite instrument! Players will learn basic rhythm, melody, theory and meter. We keep the class fun while making the instrument understandable for all students. Let the Music Play!
For guitarists, grades 4th-8th
New and experienced students invited! Rock out with riffs from Green Day, White Stripes, Led Zeppelin and more! Learn how to craft a rippin’ solo or tricked out riff. We will be studying major & minor pentatonic scales; minor, major and power-chords.
A Rock n’ Roll Music Camp For ages 10-15 Are you ready to PLUG IN and get your PULSE-POUNDING? Sonic Blast Campers will journey into the world of Rock n’ Roll. They will explore the basics of their instrument (guitar, bass, vocals, drums/percussion or piano); expand their knowledge of rock n’ roll repertoire from Led Zeppelin to Green Day and others; and finally put together every aspect of their very own rock concert including writing & performing their own rock tune; creating a band name & marketing it.
We provide: amplifiers, a drum set and percussion equipment, electric piano, microphones and materials for posters.
You provide: Rock n’ Roll attitude and a ton of enthusiasm! Oh, yeah. Don’t forget your guitar, bass guitar, vocals or other instrument.
(A vocal performance workshop for girls) For 4th-5th grades Who’s gonna rock the house tonight? Work together with your classmates to prepare a show-stopping concert that will bring the audience to their feet. Learn the songs from “High School Musical”, Miley Cyrus, Kelly Clarkson and more. Our professional instructors will also introduce students to the world of music and performance through basic music theory, choreography and lyric analysis.
For 3rd- 6th grades Get your fingers flying over the ivories in this fast-paced introduction to piano and the world of music. Students will learn music theory, rhythmic & chord patterns, meter, and study a variety of repertoire. We will be using 61-key piano keyboards in class. Parents are invited to attend our mini-recital the last day of class.
For 2nd-5th grades An excellent primer for beginning percussionists! Students will learn basic rhythmic patterns, meter and technique using bongos, djembes, tambourines and a fleet of other instruments. We keep the class fun and accessible for all students. There will be a recital the last day of class. Parents are encouraged to attend.
For ages 14 to adult Learn what makes songs like “Yesterday”, “Bridge Over Troubled Water”, K.T. Tunstall’s “Black Horse and a Cherry Tree” so compelling that they permeate our culture? Participants will learn to pen their own songs using our structured approach designed to unleash creativity. Our focus will be mainly on lyrics and structure rather than composition.
